The purpose of this study was to explore the types of sexual conflicts among Korean elderly men. Based on the qualitative research method, in-depth interviews were conducted to 9 men who were over 65 years old and had been married over 25 years. For data analysis, the paradigm model which is proposed by Strauss and Corbin (1990) was used. From the analysis, a total of 88 categories were conceptualized including 13 main categories, 24 sub-categories, and 51 characters and dimensions of categories. The paradigm model had 6 stages, that is, causal conditions, core phenomenon, context, intervening conditions, interaction, and consequences. In addition, four types of sexual conflicts among Korean elderly men were found: disputing type, waiving type, quarrelling type, and violent type. This study examined sexual conflicts among Korean elderly men as a process, rather than as a one time event. It found the various factors that affect the
formation of sexual conflicts for Korean elderly men.
